I’ve worked with Diana over the past 2.5 years in her capacity as a communications and information management specialist. During this time, she has done an outstanding job of helping our team improve the quality of our communications. She has provided a diverse range of deliverables, including designing and managing SharePoint sites, writing articles about team deliverables and success stories, and developing and maintaining cross-functional communications dashboards and portals that act as our organizational intranet. She also has been heavily involved in various information management projects and has helped with employee onboarding.
Diana’s work is always top quality. Her graphic designs such as logos and icons are widely used across the organization. Her newsletters and articles have been instrumental in informing internal stakeholders at all levels, from team members to the CIO, about the important work we’re doing. The quality of our PowerPoint presentations is at a professional level that we had previously never achieved. She has been a strong proponent of messaging and brand consistency in all her work.
Diana has also leveraged her organizational, project, and information management skills to help document business processes and has enabled a structured approach to managing and communicating information. She’s always willing to learn new skills and do whatever is necessary to advance the team’s and department’s objectives, working well in collaboration with others or as a self-starter to get things done, all while maintaining a positive attitude.

Books

I have edited and designed a variety of books for Best Publishing, including the entire 800-page NOAA Diving Manual, 6th edition. I also created indexes for all the books that required one.

For Mystery of the Last Olympian, a book about the wreck of the HMHS Britannic, the sister ship of the Titanic, I used typefaces that resembled what the White Star Line used in the print shops on board its Olympic-class ocean liners. The publisher opted to have photo insert sections rather than incorporating photos throughout the text pages.

I also designed two children’s books, using big photos, bright colors, and simple words to educate young readers about fish and other marine life.
